The Defender PASguard range of doorsets are third party tested to meet the Publicly Available Specification 24 (PAS24) specification. PAS24 is the preferred specification for enhanced security performance requirements for doorsets and windows in the UK. It sets out the minimum requirements and acceptable test criteria for products to resist attack from opportunistic crime.

Since 2015, Part Q of the Building Regulations has required doors and windows fitted to new dwellings to meet the requirements of PAS24. Whilst this does not currently cover replacement
doors and windows, the Defender PASguard is a clear choice to bring security and peace of mind to residents and property owners alike.

Door Leaf

• 1.5mm galvanised steel skins

• Internal steel strengtheners

• Mineral wool for superior insulation

• Anti-jemmy flanges to the leading edge of the leaf for excellent jemmy resistance

• Large number of glazing options available to be incorporated

• Extra heavy duty louvred grilles of various sizes can be incorporated

• Mechanically fixed ensuring strength and rigidity.

Thresholds

• 2mm stainless steel profile

• DDA compliant

• Available as outward, inward opening and ramped.

Thermal Performance

Tested and achieving an excellent rating of 2.0W/m²K.

Reduced U-value to 1.4W/m²K also available with Thermaguard Technology (Patent Pending).

Frame

• 2mm galvanised steel profiles

• Profiled headers and vertical posts fixed with strong M8 bolts ensuring rigidity, superior to welded or riveted frames

• 16no threaded adjusters, compensating for most structural opening irregularities

• No need for shims or packers, providing an extremely secure fit.

Seal

For optimum weather, thermal and acoustic performance, a tubular silicone/rubber is bonded into the frame rebate to ensure effective sealing of the door/frame gap.

• 4no stainless steel hinges for smooth operation

• Dog bolts secure the leaf into the frame if hinges are attacked

• A range of single and multipoint locks, latches, lever handles, panic hardware, closers and stays available

• Additional approved letter plates and door viewers offered.

Finishes

• Powder-coating available in any RAL or BS colours

• Marine-grade option
